Yves Saint Laurent

Yves Saint Laurent, born in 1936 in Oran, Algeria, was a pioneering French fashion designer who revolutionised modern fashion. At just 21, he succeeded Christian Dior as head designer at the House of Dior, introducing the iconic "Trapeze" line. In 1962, he founded his own fashion house, YSL, where he popularised ready-to-wear collections and introduced the tuxedo suit for women, blending elegance with a rebellious spirit. YSL's most renowned fragrance is Opium, launched in 1977. This bold and exotic scent, with notes of mandarin, jasmine, and myrrh, broke conventions and became a symbol of luxury and sensuality.
